Bill Payment Options

We have several convenient methods for you to pay your utility bill.

Pay Online or by Telephone

You can pay your bill online, by logging in to MyAccount.

To pay by phone, call 1-877-885-7968.  Please have your bill available so you can provide your account number.

** Please note effective January 1, 2023, the cost for payment over the phone will increase to $4.25 per $300 transaction. ** This is not a fee charged by Jefferson Utilities.  It is the cost for our payment processor, PSN, to process your payment. The cost for payment online will remain the same at $3.30 per $300 transaction.

Automatic Payment

Payments can also be made by automatic withdrawal from your checking or savings account. To sign up download the Authorization for Direct Payment form and return it to us or you can sign-in or register for MyAccount and setup an automatic withdrawal of you bill. There is no fee associated with this payment method if you select automatic payment with a checking or a savings account, there will be a fee if you set up autopay with a credit or a debit card.

Some advantages to using direct automatic payment are:

  • Helps avoid late or missed payments
  • No need to write checks
  • No postage costs
  • Transfers funds safely, securely and directly from your account

When enrolled in this convenient service, you will continue to receive a statement each month detailing the amount to be debited from your savings or checking account on the due date.

MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Visa or an electronic check are all acceptable!

Please include the remittance stub of the bill to assure that your account is properly credited.

Pay in Person

During normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm) customers can make payments at our office, located at 425 Collins Road, Jefferson. At the office, we are able to accept cash, check or money order payments.

After business hours, payments can be dropped off in the night deposit box located on the East side of the building.

The budget billing program is a free service offered to all residential customers. The program is designed to help you avoid unpredictable utility bills and make balancing your budget a little easier.

Your monthly budget amount is based on the average of your actual bill charges during the previous 12 months. Any expected increase in the cost of electric and/or water are also calculated into the monthly payment when you enroll in the program. We continue to read your meter every month and your utility bill will show how much energy you used, the actual bill amount and the balance on your account. Some months you will pay less for what you actually used and some months you will pay more.
