Application-Installing New Electric Service

This bill can't be right. I haven't done anything different. How can it be so much more than last month?

The first thing we do is look at the reading and make sure that the meter was read and entered correctly. If the reading proves to be okay, we would compare this month's reading to the same time last year. (See usage figures at the bottom of your bill).

Most drastic changes from month to month are weather related. Cold, hot and humid weather make all the difference.

To see the usage and dollar amount that various appliances use, please use our Power Calculator located in this website. Some high users of electricity are air conditioners, space heaters, dehumidifiers, water beds, electric water heaters (possibly running on only one element) and of course, any older and inefficient appliance.

Something must be wrong with our meter. Would you please test our meter?

We would be happy to test your meter. All electric meters are periodically tested per state requirements. It has been our experience that 95 - 100% of the time, meters were registering accurately. If they weren't, they were running slower.
