Meter Reading
Our friendly and knowledgeable meter readers read all electric and water meters once a month. We do not estimate readings unless we were unable to get in to read an inside meter or if for some reason, the meter has mechanically failed.

Billing Dates
Jefferson Utilities has three billing cycles.

• Cycle 1 (account #s starting with 01-04) are read by the 5th of the month, sent by the 10th of the month and due by the 30th of the month.
• Cycle 2 (account #s starting with 05-08) are read by the 15th of the month, sent by the 20th and due by the 10th of the following month.
• Cycle 3 (account #s starting with 09-11) are read by the 25th of the month, sent by the 30th of the month and due by the 20th of the following month.
